The International Collaborative Summer School took place in Malaga, Spain, from Monday 12th to Wednesday 14th June 2017. 35 participants attended from 9 different countries. The first day was held at the Cudeca Hospice which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
Day one featured two parallel sessions, one for those who were new to the collaborative programme with workshops to assist those who wanted join the programme and the second parallel session was for the facilitators who were already running the programme to enable them to update themselves and plan new work streams.
Day two was held in the old city of Malaga at the beautiful and historic setting of the University of Malaga Rectory. The theme of day 2 was Quality Assurance with speakers from seven countries exploring and describing a quality assurance tool they were using along with discussion groups on each topic. The format was very interactive and was extremely well evaluated.
The final day participants worked on action plans to take what they wished to implement from the International programme into their own organisations. As a result several new project groups are being worked up for submission to the Executive Committee.
The overall evaluation of the summer school was excellent.
The Executive extends its sincere thanks to all the Cudeca Hospice staff who worked so hard to make it such a success.
Details of Summer School 2018 will be announced via this website and member bulletins soon.
